Feeling worried or afraid that something bad is gonna happen during the course of your journey in life is an irrational fear that many people carry inside of them. We all want to make it in life, everybody wants to be successful no doubt about that. So from infancy, we start learning, going to school and returning with the hope that one day we would make it big. But we fail to realise that there must be something driving a man in the course of all these, which is either fear or purpose/dream.
First, the difference.
The purpose of something is what is intended to achieve, a plan or aim to do something deliberately.
Now, if you live by purpose, you will stumble. Yes you read it well, you will stumble, but you will be eager to get up because you know what you want. As opposed to fear, where you will keep stumbling because there is a push. Take this scenario for example, A child has disobeyed his mother's instruction not to leave the house. Filled with anger, the woman goes out in search for him and finds him playing football. Now with that annoyance, the mother is likely to send the child home with force, which can include pushing, and for every push, there is a stumble and a fall. That child will not be eager to get up because he knows he will fall from another push.

So you see, living in fear is not going to be a pleasant experience but living by purpose will definitely be adventurous. People live in fear most times because they are scared of poverty, failure, denial, heartbreak and most of all, their future. Some people find themselves in the wrong line of business because they carry the "I must not be poor", "I cannot end up like this" mentality, and don't truly go after what the heart wants. Now don't get it wrong, they might be successfu in that path or business they have chosen, but they won't be satisfied.
But when you live by your purpose or dream, you are sure of what you want and the probability of being satisfied is almost guaranteed. Challenges may come along the way, but they become learning opportunities for those that live by purpose, and bring doubt to those living in fear.
Living by purpose will also bring to you a full life where you see the positive side of things and inspire others coming after you because you've been able to overcome every obstacle on your way to success. People will look up to you as a role model. Fear on the other hand, will present to you a life, where you will constantly be running, either from poverty, failure etc.
To the similarity,
The only similarity between being driven by fear or being driven bu purpose is that at the end you may achieve the same result, which of course is success, but the journey/experience towards it all will surely be different.
I think we should ask ourselves this question and be honest about the answer. With the way things are all over the world today, many young people want to be rich and successful through any possible means. They've even made some impossible ways look very possible. These people are living in fear because they are scared of what will become of them at the end of the day if they aren't rich, because that's what fear does, it brings doubt.
